Yo Deucez what’s up man it’s BLVCKLGHT your tutorials have helped me out a ton, not to mention your Ableton racks that I have purchased as well. Thanks for the amazing content, it is really helpful. I noticed the joke you made about resampling, around 4:40. If it’s just one track I’ll just freeze then copy and paste the clip to a new track, a lot quicker and don’t have to set it to resample and play back the track to get a clip hahah you probably already knew that but it’s usually what I do to be a bit quicker

Quick question. Why do you use serum fx version instead of using the fx on serum itself? Does it make the sound come out differently? Thanks for tutorial homie helps so much 🔥🔥🔥
@Deucez_music3 жыл бұрын
I use SerumFX because of placement in the chain and for adding more filters (Outside of the original patch that is already filled with filters)

Hey dude watching this a few years late but still valuable info!! One q I always have had for producers is why they choose to leave some sounds at 0 volume. Is it really as mixed as can be through the chain that you don’t have to mix it further in volume? Thx friend
@Deucez_music Жыл бұрын
This truly depends on what it is. As far as main basses you'll notice in some of my videos if I add another supporting bass I don't leave it at 0db, then lets talk about SFX (atmosphere, build sounds, uplifter, etc.) I actually change the volume of the sample instead of the channel volume itself. I hope this helps! I actually just released my new sample pack which has a project file in it so you could see the levels and what's going on inside of it.

Hello dude, i've been following along at home and i've learned quite a lot, but this episode was as you said it in the outro, a bit too condensed, it was harder to "follow along" since you skipped some important parts i figure

Yeah it was definitely quite condensed for sure. I'll make a serum/post process tutorial on the sound soon 🙏

@Deucez_music3 жыл бұрын

@CMNDSAUDIO2 жыл бұрын
Are any of these your actual sounds> cuz I've downloaded some of these exact samples before....and a vocoder isn't what makes that sound...thats multiple oscillators running at the same time. Thats not vocoder and EQ... you even showed that your eq was doing nothing... also why aren't you using serum to actually make the sound...And you said you didn't wanna include the rise cuz that was your actual sound.....implying that the rest of the stems your giving people to download aren't yours to give away??? correct me if im wrong but i don't see anything showing that you made these sounds. All i see is a bunch of copy and pasted samples with generic re-names on them...
@Deucez_music2 жыл бұрын
Yes these are all sounds I created in serum along with being post-processed with my Ableton racks 🙏🏼 these were sounds I made specifically for this series to give away in comparison to the riser being my own personal use riser that I made for my own projects as Deucez. As far as your comment on Vocoder, the vocoder does do quite a bit of the shaping and tone shaping of the sound for quite a few of the sounds created through out this entire series 🙏🏼 Why I didn’t include me making every sound from scratch is because it would’ve been a 3+ hour video but I’ll definitely make another video soon about making sounds in serum from scratch 😊
@moonofnanites95142 жыл бұрын
A vocoder is absolutely what makes this kind of sound. You can achieve similar tonality with resonator plugins, or using a short convolution reverb, get creative with the impulse response. Filters that delay the phase of the signal by different amounts across the frequency spectrum, like allpasses, or plugins like Disperser from KiloHearts also work. Also, try the "Inharmonic Stretch" warp mode in Vital. This man has nothing to hide, believe me.
