It's not about the size of the dough ball. It's the elasticity of the dough. You may be an engineering student, but you obviously don't know much about rotis. 😉 Ever seen a tortilla press? Same thing but made of metal.Street food vendors in Mexico use them commonly and use very little dough to get thin flour tortillas. I'm sure you will find several videos on KZbin...or you could build yourself a boat using your engineering skills and sail to Mexico They make hundreds of these a day using the same concept. It's not new idea, and you don't need a lot of dough if it is made properly.
