I used your video to guide me in making RI in silicone molds, and I’m happy to say it worked! Question … how do you store the finished shapes?
@MiltonsDaughterАй бұрын
So glad my technique worked for you! I would think storing in an air tight container should be fine, but I've never stored them for long so I can't say for sure :-)

Can’t wait to try this. I was so hoping to fins this was possible and not use fondant or chocolate

I did this and it cracked coming out of the mold :( I stopped taking it out the second it started cracking and used water to dap the areas it cracked. Any suggestions on how to fix it? It’s a pretty big mold and isn’t crazy detailed Should I have taken it out immediately and not waited 24 hours? The stuff was REALLY dry when I put it in

Hmmm. Not sure exactly but I’m wondering if you went a little too far with the icing? Did you dust your moulds well with corn starch? Are you using an iOD mould? Yes - take them out right away- I don’t recall leaving them in the mould for 24 hours.

That’s doesn’t work. It just crumbles
@MiltonsDaughter4 ай бұрын
If it’s crumbling you need to add more water 💕but be careful to only add drops at a time or you’ll go too far

LOVED the kibbler shortbread tip……I like small cookies to decorate. Just did a batch of llamas for a friend and was so fun but that’s when I realized smaller is quicker. With store bought cookies I can whip out my leftover icing from the freezer an make just a few for a quick gift. Thank you. Those shells are perfect. Might just try some moulds. I see moulds often at the resale. God bless you. Houston here. New subscriber

Excellent! Thanks for subscribing and for watching! If you are interested in the molds, please check my website--www.miltonsdaughter.com-- -- I carry the full line of IOD molds--you will not find any other mold on the market with the level of detail as IOD moulds!

Can you let them dry in the mold?
@lorizaussmer2170 Жыл бұрын
You can try, but I removed them immediately and let them dry on parchment paper. Someone else down the thread of comments didn't have good results letting them dry in the mould--but you can still try it and see how it works for you!

How hard is the royal icing? Worried it would be too hard to eat. Do you add any corn syrup to the icing?
@MiltonsDaughter4 ай бұрын
It is pretty hard, I must admit. I did not add corn syrup.

Wow that looks so cool I've never seen that done before .I usually used modeling clay or candy melts thank you for sharing your video I'm going to give this a try 👍🌼

That's great, thanks for watching! Just remember, it you can't get the royal icing out of the mold, keep adding more confectioner's sugar--it has to be really dry!
@noemid14583 жыл бұрын
Does it get hard or is it like a softer texture when you bite into it
@MiltonsDaughter3 жыл бұрын
@@noemid1458 it is hard …

Okay thank you so much for the info 😊
@barbiek3987 Жыл бұрын
@@noemid1458 I use a 'clay' made from a modified icing sugar glaze. After they dry, they are still soft to the bite. I much prefer that to Royal.

Can you roll it out and use a cookie cutter letter to then dry it?
@MiltonsDaughter9 ай бұрын
I don’t think so, it would crumble.
@MiltonsDaughter9 ай бұрын
…putting it in the mould keeps it together while it dries.
