No they don't, it will change the flavour profile of the stew completely. It would bring in more of a "metallic taste" to the broth that most don't want. Either feed them to you dog, discard them or if you are a zombie eat them raw.

Thought I'd report back! My husband loved the stew! Will make it regularly from now on, I think. Also, I used my Instant Pot pressure cooker. The simmering time was 45 mins, and the rabbit was falling off the bone beautifully. Thanks so much for sharing your recipe! :-)

Hey a last a Man with good taste!! You have shown just how easy it is to cook, as long as you have a little bit of fantasy. One thing you could try is using cold broth or water for the flour. It doesn’t clump and is creamy faster. Thanx for the recipe.

I didn't see any seasoning apart from thyme. no salt while cooking or even seasoning the flour or the stew? or are you using a seasoned broth? Just wondering since there is a lot of vegetables and meat and just a touch of salt at the end. Appreciate any feedback on the seasoning component.

So simple and oh so good, I made the stew with my homemade chicken bone stock instead, I plan to try it this week with beef stock to see if it enriches the dish a little more, we raise our rabbits so I'm sure the flavor profile will be different then wild caught.

no I personally wouldn't do that. The meats are very different and the duck could overwhelm the broth in fat. But if you try it and it turns turns out amazing let me know.

Looks great. I'm using my squirrel stock which should go very well with the rabbit meat. I was going to simmer just the trinity of foundational veg and rabbit for an hour before adding other vegetables. Did the vegetables still maintain all of their flavor after 2 hours of cooking?

A great alternative to using flour as a thickener is potato flakes. Any stew with potatoes the flakes work great
