Really helpful video. Can you please help with few questions: 1. If slack user, doesn't have salesforce account, will he still be able to access records in slack? 2. When we view salesforce record in slack, only few fields are visible there, how can we show more fields in slack? 3. Can we send alerts from slack to salesforce Account Team/Opportunity Team?

There is a quite new, official plugin called "Service Cloud for Slack". You can create cases from within Slack. Check it out if it fits your needs: slack.com/apps/A01RDL2NJAH-service-cloud-for-slack?tab=more_info

This was really helpful, thx. We use individual slack channels with prospects and I can attach a slack channel to a contact / opportunity, and like you said i can send an individual message to salesforce, but I was hoping to find a way to automatically send every message in the channel to the aligned contact in salesforce. Is this possible?

Great walkthrough. I created a Process Builder for Closed Won Deals in SFDC and using this same instructions, I reproduced it in Slack. My only question...Is there anyway to add more details to the window that gets exported out? Currently just the Opportunity Name, Closed Date, Stage appear. Would love to add more specific details from the record. Is it possible or should I just add an additional action with a Template?

Additional fields cannot be added to the Slack "Export" for standard objects. But with custom objects you can configure which fields are shown (up to 9). Go to > Slack Setup > Custom Object Configuration > Edit Fields

The standard integration does not support this. However, you can send Salesforce Reports to Slack by using additional apps. Here is the guide: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHWrZ3iDprJ0ebc (using only free apps). Does it work for you?

Hi Noveen, unfortunately at the moment you can only add fields to custom objects. Go to > Slack Setup > Custom Object Configuration > Edit Fields

Any automated processes that are running in SF or Financial Force need to be monitored and if they do not run at all or have any errors then there should be an alert to Slack to make sure they are fixed as a matter of urgency- can i do this with slack

Would be good to include how a user authenticates between the 2 systems, you clicked on the Send to Slack and immediately could send a message.
