How to make satellite phone calls with Starlink.

I've used WiFi calling in a remote part of California near the Oregon border. There was no Verizon signal for 40 miles or more. With Starlink and WiFi calling, I was able to make calls and send and receive text messages. Awesome! Good reminder to update location information entered into phone.

To do wifi calling did your Verizon account have to be current to allow your phone to use wifi calling? So making a call on wifi still required an active sim card. I wish starlink could replace the need for an account with Verizon or other cell phone company.

Yes, unfortunately, you would still need an account with a cell phone provider. All Starlink does is provide an Internet connection so your cell phone company can connect to your phone over Wi-Fi. Thanks for stopping by.

Starlink is expensive. I wish I could do away with other expenses by replacing things with starlink capabilities. I am hopping to do away with cell phone expense and use a satellite phone via starlink. What other services can be replaced with starlink?

and and and.... you can call any where you can connect to wifi under ground subway, concrete buildinds , any where you can connect to wi fi....no care if cell phone signal always shittty
