I did something similar like this in my game. but I had it encrypt the numbers with a key, and then decode it. Because it is very easy to change the numbers to give yourself more money with your technique.

So I have a problem right? I found out a way to save a load a players data right? And it works but I was curious to see if that same data would load on another players account. So I made another account, I clicked load and it loads my progress onto the new account. Obviously thats a big issue and I’ve never seen anyone discuss how to stop that from happening if you want it to be a public game you want other people to play. Is there something I did wrong and is there a way to solve this? Basically, I want people to have their own separate data/progress that they could load. If you could help me out that would be a lifesaver 🙏

yes, this is a limited one, so it is bound to not work if the limit is exceeded. I recommend setting the limit to 15-20 coz not many scratch projects have such large values stored.

Yess To fix that, you need to make it more complex, maybe by using symbols instead of numbers, or anything else, maybe letters! That'll make it difficult to do manipulation!

Actually, that can be fixed if you change the value. Like if it's 0027, and you change by 1, it'll be 28. That'll fix it very easily. Maybe add a small script like change by 1, and then change by -1, that'll fix it!

The real problem is how to make the codes so not any average smart person can decode them and tries to cheat... (unless they look at the code). Tho i think its kinda easy to do that if the whole save code would just be 0 and 1 before changing it (for example 100110, each meaning if somethng happened or not, like an achivement list
