Thank You so much for your time with making this video! It's been so helpful to me because I'm going to start making wax melts using shot cups like the ones you use.

Instead of glitter , can I add a coffee bean or ground coffee for a coffee scent? And pine needles for a pine scent?

Is that pillar soy wax? Or soy candlenwax you use for candles in jars?

Hi do you wash out the pourer before you reuse it for another scent or will the next scent you use be stong enough to overpower any wax that may be left on the sides?
@TidyWithTheresa4 жыл бұрын
While it is still warm I take a paper towel and wipe it out, then I take another clean paper towel with rubbing alcohol on it to remove the rest. 😎

I have a question. Do you charge for your samples and if so what would be a good starting price?
@TidyWithTheresa Жыл бұрын
I’ve not actually made samples. I just sold these for $2 each but that was a couple years back. Wax is much more expensive now. Not sure how much they would be now. I stopped selling them and only make them for home use.

When your wax is melted you can use cotton balls to soak up the wax with zero mess.

How do they come out so perfect out of the cup container? I have some that don’t and they crumble up once I try to take them out

I pop them. Maybe it helps that they are soy. 😄

New to this so I have a few questions lol. For 600 grams of wax will a whole ounce give it a strong scent or would I need more than an ounce. And if I want to blend different fragrance oils would I use an ounce of each?
@TidyWithTheresa3 жыл бұрын
So 600 grams would need 1 1/3 oz of fragrance to have a decent smell but I know many people that use less to have lighter scented candles. If you are making 600 grams of wax and want to mix fragrances, just make sure your blend/mix equals 1 1/3 oz total. I hope that makes sense. 🕯❤️

What size shot cups was those I have some black shot cups that are 4oz (11 8ml) would that work if that is alright to use with GB464 I wanted to do 10 shot cups how much wax and Fragrance would I need to use
@TidyWithTheresa3 жыл бұрын
The cups are 2 oz each. Use 1 oz fragrance oil to 16 oz of wax. You can totally use the bigger cups and just have longer lasting and larger melts. 😎
@orethawilliams14743 жыл бұрын
@@TidyWithTheresa Thank you
@TidyWithTheresa3 жыл бұрын
So you would need 2 1/2 pounds of wax and 2 1/2 ounces of fragrance I hope that makes sense.

@@TidyWithTheresa for the 2oz cup correct
@TidyWithTheresa3 жыл бұрын
If you have 2 ounce cups then 1 pound of wax with 1 ounce of fragrance should make about nine or 10 wax melts with those. 😄

Hi I’m hoping to learn and make some, but if one decides to sell these in shots what would be a price to put on them , thanks in advance
@TidyWithTheresa4 жыл бұрын
I used to sell them for $2 each or 3 for $5. They actually were some of my better sellers. You can get the wax warmers and tea light candles from Dollar Tree and sell them as a package where you get the warmer, a couple tea light candles and maybe 3 melts for $8-$10. They make nice gift sets too!

What temp do you add your FO?
@TidyWithTheresa4 жыл бұрын
I add around 135° and I pour around 115°. I can usually “feel” when it is ready when the pouring pitcher feels like the temp of almost ready to sip coffee. I’ve been doing this a long time though so I’m used to it. I hope that makes sense. 😀

how much would you uses if you used essential oils?
@TidyWithTheresa3 жыл бұрын
I’ve heard that you use 30 to 40 drops per 8 oz candle but I don’t use essential oils because they are so expensive and the scent doesn’t last very long. Let me know if you do make them and how it goes. I’m curious!

Please do not melt the wax in the microwave it can take fire!!!Please melt it in a double Boiler!!

I didn’t know that. I’ve been a Candle Maker for over a decade and never heard that. Maybe it is because I melt it in 1 minute increments. When I’m really making candles I have a huge, industrial wax melter though. 🕯❤️
