Oh my god, I HAVE BEEN LOOKING THIS CANVAS VIEW OPTION ""WRAP AROUND MODE"" FOR YEARS 😭🙏❤❤❤ Thank you so much. After years doing the slowest way in photoshop, having to work with 16x16, import to minecraft, press to update the texture inside game, wait seconds to game reload all chunks just so i can check if a micro-change i did looks good and connected. This is going to change everything for me. Thank you very much to make this video exists ❤

Thank you so much for making this video! 😊 I appreciate how detailed you were when going over the different tools in Krita that help with pattern/texture creation. I just have a question about whether certain types of patterns are possible to accomplish in Krita or not. Would it be possible for us to create seamless patterns by moving around graphics that we import, instead of painting the pattern? I have different graphics that I want to put together to create a seamless pattern. I’m trying to see if there’s a way to create a seamless pattern in Krita using imported graphics, while also being able to preview in real time what the pattern will actually look like, so I can make adjustments as necessary. Thank you 🙏🏻☺️

I made a feature request for just about that. You can join the community and vote for that feature to become a reality. Devs look into the request and I suppose the most voted get som kind of priority if they have the means to do it. I am kind of hacking with some complex layer arrangements but its not ideal.. and you can read all about it there.
@RexelBartolome2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, moving things around like layers and imported graphics don't work well with the Wraparound Mode. So that would involve more manual work, and traditionally you'd use the Layer>Offset Layer function (if i remember correctly) and place imported graphics on the boundaries to hide the seams :) The downside is, it's not realtime (or isn't intended to work in realtime) and you'd have to offset the layer again to make adjustments on the boundaries and avoid introducing new seams
@yuribolognini2 жыл бұрын
@@RexelBartolome You can do it realtime with some smart arrangement of clone layers.. read into the thread I started on krita community. It's all explained there. Ohh.. I put the link but KZbin just doesn't allow it. You would have to look up. Unfortunately.. search for kaleidoscopic pattern krita. And vote for my request 👍 it's going to be quite a tool for lot's of people.

Can you convert a regular jpeg image into seamless in Krita?
@RexelBartolome Жыл бұрын
you can but there's some tradeoffs. You're better off doing that in Substance Designer (paid) or maybe even AI/Stable Diffusion (free) to generate tiling images based on the jpeg image you have
@natellareal Жыл бұрын
@@RexelBartolome Krita is the best for pattern converting, it`s a free program, it has wrap around mode to directly check the pattern and makes it seamless in one click. You just need to alter it after converting with clone brush. Took me 8 minutes to fix one pattern tile.
@RexelBartolome Жыл бұрын
@@natellareal Ah I see, the results Ive gotten with the automatic method wasn't really that great. It struggles a lot with geometric/architectural patterns. But for organic stuff like dirt, grass, probably more than enough :)
@natellareal Жыл бұрын
@@RexelBartolome Geometric or architectural patterns (I did floral patterns) are fixable by clone brush. It will not be super perfect but removes all the discrepancies and let you achieve your goal to make the pattern seamless. So far the fastest way for me. I am an amateur in Photoshop, honestly 🙂.
