Just bait shedinja into using shadow sneak. The easiest way is having a pokemon faster than shedinja (so almost everything), is capable of hitting it( it has many weaknesses so not an issue), and at low enough health to be picked off by shadow sneak

I think the Shedinja won if your counter to it is Perish song. There's like 20 more passive ways to deal with Shedinja that are far more efficient, even wtih Sturdy. But still every move has a purpose and I appreciate the thought process.

My favorite is passing wonderguard to a mono fire type (like arcanine) that has access to burn up. It gets rid of fire typing and makes it ??? Type. Nothing is super effective against it.

Actually, a truely invincible pokemon, would be crowned zatama that has been given shdinja's ability and given then immunity to damage over time, ground, and fire with some items.

The move Skill Swap allows a pokemon to trade abilities with another pokemon. In doubles, this includes your own pokemon. Therefore you can Skill Swap sturdy onto a shedinja. You can also you Skill Swap for some other interesting things like getting rid of Truant on a Slaking or getting rid of Slow Start on Regigigas, though I haven't tested these and I'm not a competitive player so I'm not sure how useful/valid these are.

Or get a mimic Shedinja from Gen 3. In a double battle: Mimic Entrainment. Entrainment Arcanine. Use Burnout. Congrats. You got a typeless Arcanine with Wonderguard. Teach it Rest to remove statuses and recover from dots, willow wisp (Or Toxic from older gens), and 2 attacking moves or morning sun. Very hard to get going, but if you do they can essentially do ABSOLUTELY nothing to kill you.

The problem with your strat is that he is not invincible. Entry hazard, climate, burn, poison, all this can kill it. But there is a true way to make it impossible and you just need to be in gen 9 (and shedinja is not available) but if you can, first use a pokemon with the ability to create a clone and switch (dont remember the name of the ability) then put your shedinja with the balloon and terracristal electrik. Congratulation, he is now unkillable. No weakness except ground, balloon so not ground attacks, and with the clone he is protected of everything else

An additional bit of information about is that you can make it mono electric with terrestrial and give it a balloon to remove the ground weakness and it is untouchable by most attacks.

Actually, in double battles you can use a pokemon which learns entrainment and use mimic on them with shedinja. Now you can pass this on to arcanine or typhlosion and thsy can use burn up; which removes ur typing :)

You know you could just use mimic while another of your pkmn use entrainment (duos) so that shedinja learns entrainment and then use an arcanine for example and give it wonder guard and then use Burn up on Arcanine to remove its typing

I assume setup requires 2-3 pokemon. One is shedinja, another is a pokemon with skill swap (or a sturdy pokemon with skill swap if any exist), and the final one is one with sturdy (if no sturdy skill swappers exist). Turn 1 skill swap sturdy onto the skill swapper. Turn 2 switch the formerly sturdy pokemon with shedinja while your skill swapper protects. Turn 3, skill swap sturdy onto shedinja. If you are lucky, your opponent kills your formerly sturdy pokemon, saving you a turn, or your originally sturdy pokemon knows self destruct/explosion (if possible) while your skill swapper is ghost. I don't know move pools, but this seems like the most efficient way to do it. Also I think stealth rocks hard counters this strategy, but the opponent needs to have stealth rocks, which I don't know if rocks and spikes are still common setups.

Nobody talks about the fact that in gen 9 he can be utterly broken Shed Tail into a Terrastrialized-Electric Shedinja holding a balloon can easily win matches unless it's a sand / hail team or you've made special answers just for this, like Infiltrator status, or Magic Bounce / Magic Coat / Mental Herb Whirlwind / Roar (shed will definitely run taunt)
