Shepherd's Pie is comfort food at its very best. Like most Cape Malay food this recipe was made up with affordability and convenience in mind. This recipe can easily be doubled.
Ingredients:
2 tbsp cooking oil
½ kg minced lamb
1 large onion, finely chopped
1½ - 2 cups mix vegetables (frozen or fresh)
3 cloves
3 all spices
3 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tbsp flour
1½ tbsp tomato paste
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Mashed Potatoes
1kg potatoes, peeled and cut into small chunks
½ cup fresh cream or milk
2 tbsp butter
Salt

I made one this pass Sunday, still actually hv lots of left overs 👌I prefer only grated carrot an peas in my mince filling, a nice winter meal with yellow rice an other veggies

Aslm. Shukran for this recipe. Looks delicious. Though, it's nice to see the recipe in description. Helps a lot. Don't have to write it down 😶 What's the difference between this and Cottage pie? Just wanna add one thing, usually ingredients are written in the order of adding it to the dish 😅 but of course up to you, whichever is easier. Some people don't know that so just helping if Aunty didn't. Otherwise no worries 🤗 can't wait to try this out !
