This is exactly how I make my molds too! Glad to know I'm not doing it wrong! I love my 3D resin printer for making molds, it was the main reason I got it! Thanks for a great, clear, and informative tutorial!

If you continue to use the same brand/type of silicone you could take the excess that cures at the bottom of the cup and cut it into tiny pieces and use as filler when you pour another mold.

What if you have the laser machine but not the 3D printer? 🤔 Offset the acrylic around the original piece and keep building up and up maybe?
@impeccableprintz9 ай бұрын
Sure can ! I use my printer for the housing rather than acrylic , cause acrylic is more expensive than a roll of PLA

Did not understand the two pieces of Gorila tape you put the sticky sides together and now you have two shiny sides where you placed the original 3d object and it looks that it stays there, could you just use a piece of plastic sheet? Thanks

Hello, I really like your videos, they are really very informative. I am new to this. My question is if you can create a blank directly of a casing for later on creating the mold. Thank you
@impeccableprintz2 жыл бұрын
Yes, absolutely, you have to make sure whatever you cast is done properly with minimal defects as that would come out in your new mold
@gustavotobon70422 жыл бұрын
That sounds really great because all the videos I watched so far they always create square, rectangles but never really show round coaster and round trays with borders. I will definitely look forward for that. Thanks again

Hi. When i use tape my silicone stays sticky. Even after days. Do you know why that happens?
@impeccableprintz3 жыл бұрын
Hey Melissa ! This definitely sounds like whatever tape you may be using is causing cure inhibition in your silicone. Are you using platinum cure silicone? I can’t recommend the tape I mentioned on the video enough! A little pricey but works well
