How to make Simple LED Dimmer Circuit

Don't drive leds like this. No stable current control. No temperature drift compensation. Led needs to be current driven.

I agree with you, but this circuit is very simple and good for short term use. I have also said this in the description of the video.

About dimming.... Maybe simple as possible dusk circuit for automatic lights on/off when its night? I modded bunch of lights in my home for it and its damn useful, especially for small 5v and 12v lights but most of parts I gutted from old garden lights so its not good looking electronic work... but it works :D
