I love making these dresses, so easy! I always sew the side seams of the dress and facing the same as I do adult bodice seams, I raise the facing and sew in one long seam, it makes it smoother under the arm 🙂

I had been trying to put parts 3 and 4 underneath the side seam like the diagrams were showing but your way is much easier.
