I think it is a change stitch. I bought something like that for my daughter. I ended returning it. Then I bought her a real machine. I bought three newer model of this machine with a bobbin. It was trash.

I watched a couple of other videos that have one piece sewn together, then another piece, then put the 2 together, turn right side out, then sew the bottom 3” opening. I like it better with bias tape, as it looks like it holds the form better. Good video. Thanks!

I just did this to get my busted console face off. Although it's easy, be very careful because I just broke the little 'keeper' plastic doohickey that you have to pull toward you to get the shifter to slide up. Pretty sure that little tiny 1/8"x1" piece of plastic is what holds the shifter on the rod, so it looks like I'm buying another shifter along with the new console face plate I just bought. If they keep putting cheap plastic breakable parts in these things, I'm giving up.

if ur fabric gets caught in the machine, use tissue paper on the bottom layer. My teacher did this for slinky stretchy fabrics, im sure it works for tulle too
@ReneesCrafty2 ай бұрын
I’m not sure that would work for this tulle, since it’s gathering it. I think I may have tried that and the paper got bunched up. But you can try it and let me know if it works.

Thank you for posting this. I couldn't find any clear directions either. Though my model is different, the thread winder is exactly the same. I tried to wind my first bobbin last night and the thread somehow ended up behind the bobbin and wound up there. What a waste of thread. I tried again and it was better but just not quite right. Again, than you very much for taking the time to make this video. It was v e r y helpful. I am off try again.

Thank you❤I'm gona try this. Can I sew the middle hole before I sew the sides? I mean, while the material is still flat on all sides? Won't that make it easier? I'm just trying to think if it will mess up the whole thing. If anyone tried it that way, please let me know. Love how you demonstrate. Many thanks

Thank you for this video, it was really good and helpful. I LOVE your accent ( I'm here in England) I'm guessing you're in the South? I was thinking you might enjoy getting a extension plate for the sewing machine, it makes life easier when you're working on a wide piece of fabric.....just a thought. I like your no-nonsense approach, I too curl a lip up at Bias tape!!

Does you machine not have where you can set it to cut the jump stitches

It does, but I didn’t change colors. It cut them, but you can’t tell because of no thread change.

Hi Renee, I've recently inherited a Viking Husqvarna #1+ and am having a problem getting started. I watched your videos on this machine, and you seem to have great success with it. I'm unable to get the needle to move at all, other than by the hand knob. The material does advance as expected, so the feed teeth seem to be ok. The bobbin winding function works well, so the main motor is working, and thus the foot pedal is ok. Have I missed something, or is perhaps the machine broken? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you very much. Bradley Clark

Is it possible the presser foot sensor isn’t working? My machine has been out of commission for a couple of years, but I have it in storage. I can’t remember if it won’t sew if the presser foot isn’t engaged.

@@AFateSoTwisted Good tip, I'll try to see if there's something going on with it. Thanks Renee. Cheers
