Thanks for sharing your knowledge and time. The instruction is straightforward and easy to understand. Yet so much goes into making a piece, each one so original. That’s why pottery is so rewarding for the maker, and the owner.

@@Vsmithpots Hi Vaughan and thank you. But I haven't had the time, nor circumstances for the last 6 months or so to work much on improving my skills. Just made a handful of things. I have been having my house fixed and all kinds of things have taken my time. And on top of that, the garage where I have the studio was terribly cold for a while, it went as low as +3°C for weeks. But now it is back to about +15 °C so I can start tidying up there and get going with something soon, I hope.

As always your gardens are a treat for the eyes! The first accessory I bought after finding my used wheel was a Griffin Grip. I love it. For me it's worth every penny. I comparison shopped, waited for a sale and paid under $200 for it. Sometimes you just have to treat yourself! Another great video with lots of excellent examples of how you achieve such beautiful results! Thank you!

Rocky is still around but my studio cats both passed away last year. It was expected, I take them to the studio when they get old. My younger cats at the house annoy the older ones, so retirement at the studio, where they get more attention is their reward. I have one older cat at the house with 5 younger cats so we will see.

That was another great video Vaughn! Thank you! I learn so much from you. Love to see you having some good weather and Spring showing up. I hope the bird flu doesn't get to the birds up there. I am at an intermediate stage doing pottery, and have plenty to learn. I figured the weight of each ball of clay you used for each bowl was .6111. I have been thinking of spending more time on bowls for a bit to become more consistent in size and shape. I would certainly need more clay for each bowl to get the same size. I may do bowls for all 26 grandkids this year for Christmas and something bigger for the grownups to share or something individually. I work at a studio, and can only get in about 1-3 times a week. I just love your glaze combinations and your techniques. It sure helps me a lot. I have to work with the glazes the studio has which is understandable. They sometimes run out of one I want to use, and they make some new ones we haven't had already. I sure enjoy going. It's fun to be around people who enjoy the same things. Have a great day and thank you again! I have to go pull weeds in my garden.

Another wonderful video! Love to see your gardens and pieces coming out of the kiln. Is the inside of your house similar to your gallery with all of your special pieces? Do you ever use your Leach kick wheel?
@Vsmithpots

I have a nice collection of pots from other potters as well as some of my old pieces. I bought the leach wheel to demonstrate on before Covid. Since I no longer let people into the studio where I do not wear a mask, it has been a lonely potters wheel. I even have a wheel on a dolly that I drag outside to demonstrate on, last year the mosquitos ate me up so I gave up. The mosquitos may be worse than Covid, although I did not do well with Covid. I have been planning on doing a video on my pottery collection. Stay safe.

Hello Vaughn from Illinois USA Like your videos and I know I’ll learn much from you ,so thanks Regarding the foam that’s generated from mixing the glazes, have you tried to pass a propane torch over the surface to pop the bubbles. It works for bubbles in other media such as epoxy pouring.

Beautiful always! I really appreciate your videos and techniques. Curious…🤔 about how you sign your pottery? Are you using underglaze pencils or painting your signature on? I like the look of handwriting the signature on instead of carving it on.
