hey man yeah glad you liked it and thanks for telling me how it works in premiere. as for ambient sounds dude of course and i think back in the day, it was much more common to do that! almost all movies use this lol check out the intro to lord of the rings.. watch how in some scenes (especially the fellowship of the ring) where they open up in the Shire.. if i remember correctly it starts black but then you hear ambient sounds.. nature, birds etc etc before you even see anything... it's a REALLY common trick you're gonna start seeing everywhere the more you know it lol

Cool. I have question for you. In Final Cut Pro; is it a tool like in IMovie where you can skrink the timeline down or minimize your clips; where you can see all your clips. I know in IMovie it on the right side above the timeline.

hey man yeah on final cut there's a number of ways to do it! I usually to use the trackpad (just zoom in and out motion), but another option is to use command and the '+' or '-' button, or, in the middle of the program on the right side, there's a film strip looking icon (3rd from the right), click that and you can set the amount of zoom you want!

What are you favorite movie editing techniques? Also, anyone notice how many L Cuts were used in this video??
