why not the opposite to save the batterie so the LED off but when it detect Moisture it turn ON ! copy past videos is the reason why this wrong method is everywhere on youtube

So it basically tells you that you are busy watering your plant or your plant is over watered. The test you showed was placing it into completely dry soil and then watering it. This would've been more confusing is you tested it on soil that isn't completely dry.
