It completely depends upon the algorithm. For most of them it’s clockwise with starting point at 3 o clock

You can check with any store that stocks wood and use plywood sheets but ensure that it is at least 1.5-2 cm thick

Use below formula. Put the knowns in the formula and calculate the unknown 2*3.14*R = N*D Where, R = radius of the board N = total number of nails u have D = distance(in cm) u want to have between two nails
