The idea of the toothpicks is sick !! Great idea! Can you put heavy stuff in these boxes? Do you think it would hold if you hang them in the wall?
@MakeOn3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I use them stacked up and one of them is full of 2.5" HD's, not the lightest thing in the world. Hanging them... I guess it depends much on the plywood quality and the way you mean to hang them. For instance, if through the "handle", the part of ply above the slot migh become the weak point. Reguarding the joints themselves, before paiting them I stepped on two boxes put upside down and they held my weight just fine. They're definitely way stronger than they look and that's what I like the most about them.

What kind of glues did you use?
@MakeOn4 жыл бұрын
As I explained in the video, the white one is regular wood glue (PVA) and those drops are super glue (CA) + accelerator to instantly lock everything in place and make it easier to put all the parts together without having to wait for the wood glue to cure. Alternatively, you can use masking tape to hold the joints while the glue dries, CA glue is just a quicker way to get the same result.

Good video. What design program did you use to make and print the plans?
@MakeOn Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I used Autodesk Fusion360. That's my go-to 99% of the times when designing stuff.
