What a great way for people who do not have cutting machine to do stud earrings. I still prefer glossy sticker paper for my stud earrings. Then having a cutting machine cut them. That way I do not have to add glue to the sticker paper I only have to add glue to the top to make the glass stick. I guess you could also use a hole punch on the sticker paper instead of having a cutting machine cut it. Knowing me I would be terrible at centering the earrings with a hole punch. But I am sure with some practice I could get better at centering the images. I also do not have a Walgreens close by or any photo processing places. So I would have to print from home. But I do think this is a great cheap way to get started on making your own earrings on a budget. This is a great video.

I found a bunch of random patterns on canva. Did some pumpkins, 80s themed, floral, plaid, and pac man. I wish I could show you on here. The only thing so far is that I just put the little bit of glue on top of the photo and I put my little glass bead on top and so far it looks cloudy/blotchy. I didn’t put a lot but it’s not dried yet…so hopefully the will look different once dried.

I am having so much trouble with the ink bleeding. I sent my images to cvs and when i use this method, the marron smears and bleeds when i put the glass cover on. I have tried sealing the image with modge podge but i am still seeing a little bleeding. Can you please advise?
@AmyRomeu9 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear you are having trouble! If you are using Mod Podge to seal, try using two coats on the front and back and letting them dry completely before gluing the glass piece on. A spray sealer would be good to try also since you don't need to brush it on the image, something like Aleene's Spray Finish. You could also use something like clear packing tape and a squeegee to apply an invisible tape layer to the top of the photo to protect it. Whatever you do to protect the photo, also apply something to the back because moisture seeps through the back easily. I hope that helps! It may take some trial and error to figure out a system that works best for you, but then you'll be all set. :)

I would love to see the resin video. I do have a question about this video (great video by the way), the first 2 cat pictures (you didnt make sets of) that you kind of cropped in the template, is there a way to copy it in the template so that the pair would match exactly?
@AmyRomeu Жыл бұрын
Hi, Michelle! Thanks for watching! That's a great question. So what you can do in that case is copy the photo stud circle you want to create an exact match for. Firist delete a blank from the template (to create an empty space). Then select both the frame and the image of the stud circle you want to copy (I am using a desktop so I just used my mouse to draw a selection box the stud circle with the image, which automatically selected both the image and the frame). Then you can right click on the selection and click COPY, then right click again in the blank area and click PASTE. You can also click CTRL + C on the keyboard to copy the selection and then CTRL + V to paste into the blank space (use the COMMAND key instead of the CONTROL key on a Mac). You can use this copy and paste technique to quickly create an entire sheet of studs using the same design too. Just get one row looking how you want it and then duplicate it on the rest of the page. :)

Oh My Gosh!! This video is invaluable!!! I have been struggling with this for months to figure out how to do this!!! Thank you so very much!! Would you consider selling a templates in a 4x6 and the larger size for a 20mm size? I would purchase those from you right away.....Thanks for considering!!
@AmyRomeu Жыл бұрын
Hi, I'm so glad you like this project! You can always make a copy of my 4x6 template and then resize the frames as needed. Here's how to do that. First, duplicate my template (File, then Make a Copy) and name it whatever you want. Then, resize one frame to your desired size. I Googled "20mm to inches" and got .787. So start by resizing one frame to .79 inches and do a few test prints and cuts. You may need to make adjustments slightly to that measurement to get the right size circles when you punch/cut out (maybe it's .80 or .81, etc). Then once you get the frame measurement right, delete the rest of the frames and copy that frame over and over onto the 4x6 template. Then repeat for the letter sized sheet. I hope that helps!
@theknottyhippy Жыл бұрын
@@AmyRomeu Wow!! thank you so very much!!
@AmyRomeu Жыл бұрын
Hi, Tammie! I see your reply in my email, but not here as a comment, I'm sorry! I just tested my instructions to be sure they work, and it did for me, so let's be sure I'm explaining it right. First, I should have said I'm doing this on a desktop computer, so I'm not sure if a phone or tablet is different. I'm not sure what device you are using. Also you'll want to resize the frames before you add any photos. Ok, so when you open my 4x6 template, and you see all of the "frames" (the circles with the clouds, sky, and grass) you should be able to click on one and a purple rectangle with 4 white dots at the corners will appear. You can click on a white dot and drag the dot in or out and that will resize the circle. You'll see the measurement (as it changes) pop up. It doesn't show you the exact measurement though and I know you'll be adjusting the size very precisely. So here's a better way to precisely resize the frame: Click on a frame to select it. You'll see the purple border around it again. Then click Position on the menu bar just above the template. That will open some more options on the "Arrange" tab. In the Advanced section at the bottom, you can adjust the Width and Height to the desired decimal. That will resize your frame precisely. Let me know if that works for you!
@theknottyhippy Жыл бұрын
@@AmyRomeu Once again...thank you so much!! I deleted the comment because I did figure out how to drag to adjust the size, but couldn't figure out how to precisely do it. Canva has a background remover tool you can try, it is a Pro feature though. You can find it under Edit Photo and then click on BG Remover. If you don’t have Canva Pro, you can search for a free background remover online to upload your image to. Once you’ve removed the background, then your new background color in Canva will be visible all around your design. I hope that helps!
