First thank you for the tutorial, about to try it now. Second your craft station is AMAZING!!! I'll admit I'm a bit jealous. Mind if I ask if it's one of them Craft Dream Box Storage Cabinets?

I like the black traditional mouse pad. To me the colors are more intense on that one. The tan backed mouse pad looks a little washed out.

Do you have a different link for the tan back mouse pads? The links are not working. :D

Sorry I do not. Company is going out of business so we are looking for other sources.

No matter how many times i pre heated, I’m still getting white spot in the middle :( Any further advice ???
@AngieHolden8 ай бұрын
Maybe try increasing your pressure? Or using a firmer mat underneath? Sounds like uneven heat at that point.

It worked! I had to come back and say thank you. I had colors blending into other colors and I am assuming it was because of moisture. So I pressed each blank mouse pad three times before pressing with the design and they look great. Thank you!!

Yep! Moisture is tough with these!

I normally print off Cricut but I get the lines that limit my space for sublimation, any suggestions ? Thank you!
@AngieHolden4 күн бұрын
You cannot get rid of the lines in Cricut Design Space. Use a different program for printing.
@batoerin3 күн бұрын
I've found success in doing image editing in design space and then taking a screenshot of the image and opening in Inkscape to actually print. Cricut is convenient to give an image an easy background

I cannot find the tan mousepad instock anywhere or really anything like it. My Amazon one is kinda grey- look good but I'd like the colors to be brighter. Anyone have a source for tan back mousepads or black ones that are really bright?

I linked the tape dispenser in the description below this video. The protective paper dispenser I talked about here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hYecgaaAhc-nnLM

Hey Angie, quick question... So I have an Epson f170 and I noticed when I print images I understand the image is supposed to be lighter when it's printed and then when you press it it gets more vibrant and everything but I notice mine definitely looks a lot lighter and more subdued than yours do, am I doing something wrong or is there something I can do to get a better more vibrant image? It seems like when I press the image the colors are beautiful but I noticed when I was buying images from vinyl fun the vinyl and sublimation store in my area, the images definitely look a little bit more vibrant from that store then on my printer. I followed your setup video when I got my f170 so I went over to the Epson site and downloaded their drivers and everything like I was supposed to and when I print my images I usually do everything through canva and print through Gimp because I cannot figure out how to work gimp it is so confusing but when I go to my printer setup and everything I always choose the right paper and the right orientation and everything and then since I'm printing through gimp I go on and I choose custom ICM profile instead of automatic for color and I always do high-quality instead of standard quality and I don't do bi-directional printing either so if there's something else I can do to make the colors pop a little bit more can you let me know? thank you so much honey I really appreciate you and all that you do for us in the crafting world! You are such a gem❤❤❤

What is the media type I should be selecting for printing on sublimation paper for the mousepad? I love the tip on putting the mousepad on the pattern instead of the other way around. Thanks.

Seriously depends on the printer. Whatever you would use for fabric though should work well.

So what is the temp and temperature for a mouse pad
@AngieHolden4 ай бұрын
Depends on the brand of mouse pad that you are pressing. Always look where you purchase your blanks first.
@fieldai5 ай бұрын
Thanks for this. I always watch your videos, often multiple times, because they are so helpful. I am getting a faded-out swath in the middle of the mousepads I've been trying to sublimate. I used the A-Sub brand from Amazon. I pre-heated them one to three times. After watching this video, I experimented with really trying to get the moisture out, but even after 5x pre-heating, steam was still coming out. I cooled off the blank and then sublimated with my handheld flat (easy press style) press, 385 @50 sec. The neoprene backing stuck to the blowout sheet and started to peel and tear away from the top. The majority of the black rubber remained on the blank, but is very sticky. Should I try another brand of mousepad blanks? Or is there something else I can try? TIA
@AngieHolden5 ай бұрын
What type of mat are you using under them? If you are using the EasyPress mat, that may be the issue. It doesn't sound like they handle heat very well however. But if you still have more you can try just preheating a few times and using a firmer mat.
@fieldai5 ай бұрын
@@AngieHolden Thanks, it makes sense that it could be my EasyPress mat. I can try a different, firmer one, but am not sure what to search for. Are there any you could recommend?
@AngieHolden5 ай бұрын
Artesprix has a heat resistant mat that I use because it is firm.
@fieldai5 ай бұрын
@@AngieHolden Thanks for the tip about Artesprix. I will check it out. In the meantime, in searching at home for something to use as a firmer pad, I found a piece of unfinished plywood to replace my EasyPress mat. I also realized I was using parchment paper instead of butcher paper. I made these two changes and now my mousepads look great! Thanks so much.

Do you think sublimating using sublimation oven would transfer the image on to a mousepad? I make tumblers but want to expand substrates without having to purchase too much equipment straight out. TY

I don't think that would work as you need pressure as well.
