How To Make Tetelas

Tetelas are a triangular stuffed masa pocket. The name is a combination of the Nahuatl words tetl (“hill”) and tla (“many”), which translates as “place of many hills," likely a reference to the tetela’s peaked, triangular shape. Tetelas can be filled with just about anything, but most commonly with refried beans and topped with crema, queso fresco, and/or salsa.

The Mexican name is Tlacoyo de frijol, try to do with humus and (green salsa, panela chees, some radish in small cubes and cilantro) for decoration 🤪🤪🤪🤪

Beautiful! I love black beans! I wonder if these tetelas taste good when they are cold, for example to take with you for lunch. Sorry, I'm not sure about spelling. I'm not a native english speaker.

They're best reheated, but you could probably do it in a microwave!
