I just tried my first masienda tortilla tonight!! Didn’t get the puff. But I will keep trying. Maybe not enough moisture. I also rested after making individual balls. The pan was pretty hot.

Got this Masa at whole foods. Much different in texture and fineness of the corn. Very smooth, but the hydration take time to learn on this masa. It's sticky one minute, then a tad too dry the next. What I find works best in lean towards sticky, let the masa balls sit for a spell, then work, roll again before putting it in the press.

I received the combo kit as Christmas gift. So easy and fun to make my own Tortillas. On this New Years eve, we're making Sweet Potatoe Enchiladas using the Blue Masa. Happy New Years, friends!

This looks very interesting I must check it out as I don’t understand what all the ingredients are but I think I see Mexican sugar just don’t know for sure.

It is so amazing that so many excellent things from Mexico are available here now. I can hardly wait to have one of these in my kitchen.

I know this is an older video but can the same Molina be used for both the mole and the masa, not at the same time of course, but with a quick cleaning? Or do you need separate grinding stones for each?

I love this! I nixtimalized my corn but it was just ordinary corn. I'm so emotional right now.

Thank you for this! I grew up loving the flavors of Mexico. My grandmother loved that country so much, and I grew up going to visit that country. Not a drop of that beautiful ethnicity runs in my genes, but it is my most loved cuisine. Personal goal for 2025: learn to make my own tortillas!
