@@emue229 Oh really, I didn't know you could bake it as well, won't that come out as bread?. I just followed every step of the video like I did with her banana cake. The 1st set got burnt and the inner part wasn't ready so noticed the oil was too hot so I lowered it and trust me the rest came out perfect and because I couldn't roll perfect balls like she did I had some crunchy corners which I loved. OMG 🤩🤩🤩💃💃🕺🕺 you need to try her banana cake... I never new I could bake but am confident now just by following her videos, she makes things so easy.

I made these doughnuts yesterday and they tasted very good. I changed the recipe slightly. I added 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon of allspice. I also increased the amount of sugar to 2 cups. I used whole wheat flour because I cannot eat white flour. Since whole wheat flour is heavier than all purpose flour I had to use 5 cups instead of 6 cups. Also I had to add more water. Thank you for the recipe I really enjoyed my doughnuts.

The batter is slightly different in that it uses pureed banana as part of the liquid required . Cardamom powder and coconut slivers are used instead of nutmeg and vanila. Some people use jaggery syrup in place of sugar.

We do not use yeast, we use baking powder and salt. Depending on what part of Caribbean you come from, sugar might be added. In Eastern Caribbean where I am from, we serve it with codfish/saltfish or smoked herring. I will most def, try your version. Thank you!
