I agree that specificity and genre emulation are key to creating memorable random tables. *CHA'ALT*

True, but a lot of my fans want to know when I have a new product out. It's not like I'm selling coffee pods or meaningless Scottish titles.

@RPGPundit totally agree. Keep up the good work. I've bought Baptism Of Fire, The Old School Companion 2, and 3 of the pundit files. BUT. three minutes is three minutes. :P

Thanks for this - I found it quite helpful, especially since I'm designing my own game and setting. Cheers.

I would be interested in a Wild west game from you.

There have already been a few OSR wild west games, so though I've thought about doing it, I'd have to be sure I could add to the value of the current ones.

@RPGPundit I know. But i still would love to see your OSR Authentic wild west ttrpg. You have a special touch when it comes to ttrpg design & style.

I use tables religiously in my own play! This is great advice, especially for newer DMs! I also have a bit of a question related to the Star Adventurer rules, if you don't mind. Under "Firing into melee or at a moving opponent" on page 27, it says the following: "A character must be at least 5 feet away from an opponent to fire any ranged weapon." Does that mean there needs to be 5ft. of empty space between them? If that is the case, does that mean someone with a pistol or shotgun can't fire at a target in the adjacent 5ft. tile to them? If so, how would you describe that working, 5 ft. being a fair bit of distance at all, and shooting someone at point blank would technically be easier. If that's not what it means, does it imply that you can enter into someone else's square? I'm not trying to be pedantic of course, but I've got a player who definitely is, haha, so I was looking for some advice! Have a good one, Pundit!

In my games we don't use a grid concept. The 5' rule really means to say you can't shoot them while in melee with them. However, characters can make a 5' movement without generating an attack of opportunity, so the only case where this would be problem is if the character is somehow trapped or cornered, or currently being grappled.

@@RPGPundit Thanks for the clarification! My group is what I like to call 'Gridbrained', so I can't escape it. Gotta give the people what they want! Haha I like attacks of opportunity, so I might be very cruel and rule that any character currently in melee (which includes being actively attacked) can't use ranged weapons (after all, they're probably trying quite hard to not get stabbed or bashed), but add attacks of opportunity if they try to escape without withdrawing. Should off-set some of the crazy powerful ranged weapons they're getting their hands on! Thanks again, Pundit!

I have to say thank you again! I’ve learned so much from you and also have collected most of your catalog and enjoy it immensely, even if I can’t play it all! My dream though would be to play in your last Sun campaign

Hey Pundit, I’m making a book of random tables and I heard you say you do consulting on another video. What’s the best way to get in touch? Therpgsite?

You should do a Pundit File with a Meatball as the star. It could be how to run a cat game in OSR and it could be a really cool "In Memoriam" type of thing.
