There is a much easier way to do this (at least in 1.2.0). All you have to do is go up to a wall and face link away from it, making sure you are holding the weapon(s) you wish to glitch (works on melee weapons but they don’t deal damage, so no point, and shields are great to do this glitch with if fused with a bomb or spring to *infinitely jump around, bows are the same as the vid). So, once the desired equipment is equipped, face against the wall, then open the menu using + and drop the equipped bow/shield and equip a new one, then unequip that bow/shield. Once that is done, leave the pause menu and it should say “cannot drop weapon” or something and the bow/shield should be invisible giving it infinite durability until you warp, enter a loading zone, or load the game, to which you’ll have to redo the glitch. Hope this helps

Great tutorial - as per usual. Got it to work on my first attempt; but it's a shame it isn't permanent. There probably is no realistic way to get an unbreakable bow/normal equipment. Yeah the msg exists, but I'd love to someday get an unbreakable spear or an unbreakable boomerang.
