Chanel uses a chain along the hem to give the garment the desired weight and drape, I think it would really help with the flappy edges, that are opening up

Wrapping paper is a good idea and cost effective as pattern paper. Never thought of that especially since its marked down after the holidays. I’m shocked how you made it work with the limited amount of fabric. Good job, it’s lovely.

@@AliciaYanson so I made a skirt, and it was too tight! I ended up making 3 skirts, 2 wouldn’t go over my hips and the 3rd fit but it was lose around the waist. I didn’t put a zipper on the skirt instead used elastic and I think that’s where I went wrong :(

to make a nice full fringe, you should cut the strips on the bias ... look up videos of global fashion workshop here on YT a real chanel jacket has a three piece sleeve to get a nice tight fit while still maintaining range of motion and have the sleeve vent more to the front, where it can be seen nice first attempt

Why do people always want to put buttons on clothing? Not a criticism of this video per se, I think it was well done but I think buttons are ugly things. I wish they would just disappear from fashion e.g. buttoned shirts are ugly.
