I did a similar repair on my Sony turntable the other day using dental floss and tying the ends with a double overhand knot; not my idea(on the internet) but it worked a treat! I have ordered a new replacement belt.

I think surgical rubber comes in different shapes and sizes and some sports pèople use quality rubber bands example hockey elastics. Most rubber only has a 3 or 4 year shelf life .

@@Lordosvk Díky za hezký komentář - skutečně mne moc potěšil. Většinou totiž slíznu od diváků dost "čočku" za tu mojí "čeko-ingliš" ... tedy především od mladších ročníků z Česka, protože ti mají angličtinu pomalu jako druhý rodný jazyk.

i would use this method except use a different splice glue ends together and use small piece across end splices double thickness and orient top over piece to outside of loop i have used this on tape and cassette players as long as outside path is clear

I wonder if I sliced open a innertube could I use that rubber ?

Do you mean the tire innertube? Sure - it will be possible. Good idea.

Hi, I do not know any detailed info - I have bought them from one recording studio with the horn tweeters. In the Dynacords are now only the bass speakers and are connected with the horn tweeters in the big aluminium boxes. I did not opened them, because they are sounding very good and I do not sell them. I use them every day.

You better off using audio tape or it's a round belt dental floss just placed an appropriate size o-ring on top of the pulley on the motor first
