How to make The Dragon Slayer! Guts' Weapon from Berserk!

Guys! This was SO much fun to build!
HUGE shoutout to Willy J on Instagram for recommending this weapon! I always heard about Berserk but never paid it much mind but now i'm 100% going to check it out!
This bad boy was full 3D Printed with a metal rod installed for reinforcement purposes. THen Painted with generic spray paints!
I hope this little tutorial/guide helps someone pull the trigger on this beautiful and HUGE prop!

@@erickcerda8597 I really like the Netflix adaptation a lot because it's a good head way for people unfamiliar that don't like old school animation with still action shots. I actually got someone new to read the entire manga in 2 months recently and then they watched the Netflix movies and absolutely loved them. What I'd REALLY enjoy, is the Castlevania artists actually do a new Berserk all hand drawn.

I just printed one of these on and ender 3 s1 pro. The edges of the blade are not completely straight but some sanding will fix that. I am going to prime it and then hit it with some truck bedliner and paint it and see what happens! By the way I love your channel it has helped me out a lot!

Looka amazing! for a good blood look with a bit of texture, use Siraya Tech smokey black 3d printing resin mixed with blood red Candy2o Createx airbrush paint, then cure it after applying, and wash the extra off with alcohol. using it for my Carnage Peacekeeper and the test with it looked amazing

I would highly recommend watching berserk the 1997 version. It is a Masterpiece of anime. You can watch the whole series on KZbin free!!!! Please please watch it it’s 25 episodes HD quality and in English dub too! You could binge watch the series while you wait for your prints to finish. PLZ check it out You will not regret it!

hi, those center parts i try something like, pick up bedliner or sideskirt rock protection spray. high filling volume and you can over paint.

you should read the later manga and make another one the same, but in a different style (Miura changed the forms to rougher), wider of course, and worn with cracks on the blade, after what he went through with Guts

Hey Frank. I'm building a Dark Souls Black Knight Greatsword and i bought a metal rod to reenforce it, but the rod it self seems a bit wobbly (it's not super stiff). What kind of metal rods do you use? Are they super stiff and don't bend much or do you still have good results with weaker, wobblier metal rods? You built a kick ass sword by the way! it inspired me to build my own big freakin sword XD

You can find some channels that forged this sword (and other manga swords too) in steel and you'll find out that it weights a lot and you can't really use it for cosplaying.
