Nicky and Pippa Gumble- I love the Bible in One Year devotional and am now a subscriber of HTB. Thank you both for your faithfulness to our God. May you be richly blessed by our Lord, Jesus Christ. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen! 🙏❤️

That was very nice. I have been listening to you and your wife on the bible app. I have really enjoyed the app and the stories and verses. As a Catholic, I used to go to church and not really pay attention to what I was hearing. I never stopped praying privately. I am finally at a point where I want to learn about the bible.

Pippa, your words were spot on. I have to pack up and leave where I have been living and I don't know where I am going ... And your words about feeling beyond exhausted just brought me to quiet tears as you and Nicky prayed. What you don't know is that when I gave my life to the Lord 20 years ago, three different people gave me a word -- and it was Jeremiah 29:11. To click on this video and to see "my" verse almost immediately was, I believe, a divine moment of God's reassurance 20 years on. Thank you both for your ministry. I often watch from here in South Africa, particularly during the pandemic lockdown, and am always uplifted by your message. I pray our Father will protect you during this season, and that He will continue to give you this platform to reach out -- very far!-- to others. I pray that you too will be filled afresh by the Holy Spirit and I pray this in the name of Jesus, our Saviour, our Friend.

Thank you Nicky. i was just completing chapter 9 and 10 in the 2:7 Series of discipleship training. They are both dealing with the important topic of priorities. I hope we can all use the coming months to put God first. I know it is easier said than done. But it is a journey. A marathon - not a sprint. God bless you and your wonderful work which is transforming lives all around the world.

Great words of encouragement. However there seems to be a technical problem with all of Nicky Gumbel's videos. The volume is low on all of them that I have heard, and it's hard to hear what he's saying. This is a job for the HTB technical team I think. Can something be done about it? :)

problem is....God is not 'a solution' so we may seek....deeply seek, but we will never find. because we are trying to find help, in these times But if God is not 'help' even if we keep seeking, we will never find. Not untold riches, or permission for cruelty...sometimes we are asking for help to get out of cancer, or resolution from dishonest ties God is simply...just God. with his own time, agendas, objectives. sure, someone told me if those plans are not God's plans, those plans are not good enough. I agree...but I find it tough to pray "God, let me think like you" because God can think like God. God has boundless mercy, riches, God can be generous, God can forgive everyone. But I dont have boundless riches, or mercy, and when I ask "let me have boundless riches" that does not happen, and I cant be generous and then im told AGAIN the problem is I dont think like God, nor do I seek God, AND THEN AGAIN I ask - I CAN be generous as like God is, but I have to first be as RICH as God is! impossible to be someone when I start from nothing. if God does not move, I dont think I can move either. Truce. God is boundless and merciful. If I have to think like Jesus, he has to first, make me boundless and merciful. else, I will never be able to think like a person withou fear, or limits. if God refuses to bless me aplenty, I will never be able ...to love/be/think like God, who has plenty.

This message was extremely concerning. Does no one recognize this verse was taken totally OUT OF CONTEXT. The words were for his special nation of ISRAEL and cannot be projected onto Christians. If you doubt this remember, remember, the message of the CROSS is very different, it calls us to recognize we are in this life ENEMIES of GOD who must recognize our sinfulness and REPENT. These are the words of the modern LIBERAL Church, which calls to a "feelgood" Christianity of prosperity and ease. If you doubt this remember every Apostle died a violent death and the first Christians were entertainment in the Roman Arena. This world is ALIEN to Christiany and is under the WRATH OF GOD..........Don't be taken in by this and AVOID any involvement with ALPHA for it will take you down a dangerous path.

90% of the Bible was written for the benefit of Jewish people, including parts of the New Testament. Are you saying that Christians should throw all that away? I'm sure you mean well by your comment, but it's illogical. Since Christ God's people includes the Church... the international children of Abraham by adoption into God's Kingdom. That's what God meant when He told Abraham that his descendents would be as numerous as the stars of the sky. Hallelujah for that!

To quote JESUS, "You do err, not knowing the Scripture." We are told to "rightly divide" the word of GOD,.......Let us follow your flawed epystemology to the full.........Renegade ISRAEL spent most of its time in UNFAITHFULNESS, many times falling into CHILD SACRIFICE sacrificing to Baal and Moloch.... Now, given that the modern Church has remained SILENT while 9 million UK babies have been killed in the womb in the last 50 years, it is clear there are striking parallels between ancient Israel and the modern Church, but I notice your propensity to invoke the 'feel good' , 'happy clappy ' ALPHA COURSE verses, yet not a word about GOD requiring 'life for life ' and emptying the land of the BLOODGUILTY.........or....... .....maybe you can refer me to smiling NICKY GUMBEL bravely speaking up for the 9 million innocents the Church has forgotten. If you can, I will apologise....
