Sticking to a no-contact policy with the narc who is a cancer in your life pays off in peace of mind, body, and spirit. Doing so has transformed my life in glorious ways and I never look back nor think about the family narc for a nanosecond.

Suffering? I don’t need to know if this narcissist is or are not suffering. I took control back. I am no longer used as a daily meal for that narcissist. No more late night phone calls. No more daily marathon phone calls. No more feeling drained with a migraine after a marathon phone call. No more dreading to hear phone ring and see that number on the phone. No more mirroring to control what I do. The narcissist is now not controlling and living life through me. That was the fuel. I took it back. Took it all back. If this person suffers, I don’t care. If that makes me a little bit of a narcissist, then that’s fine. We need to empathic with a little bit of narcissism. It’s that little bit of narcissism that protects me from that narcissist that sucked the life out me.

This is true, because of the trauma bond I felt more compassion for him than for all the pain, disappointment and sense of abandonment he had caused me. I don't think there's any point in wasting time planning how to simmer the narcissist. Better to spend time on yourself and the people or things that have been unfairly neglected. Forget those who didn't love you at the time. He won't be able to do it with anyone anyway, a true narcissist loves only and only himself.

It makes no sense to seek for the Narcissist to suffer forever. Once we start understanding Narcissism, the only thing we should aim for is to stop being harmed by the Narcissist. Sometimes it’s very difficult because the Narcissist has caused too much damage (and one must inevitably change jobs, quit social media, stop seeing many people, and even move), but the only winning move is to accept whatever is necessary and establish a Total No Contact regime. Yes, it may seem like a loss, but it is the lesser of two evils. In the long run, if we don't take these measures, the harm we will endure and the pain the Narcissist will cause us will be much worse. Thank you, HG, for this valuable Tudor Treatment.

Thank you HG, as always. Excellent work once again. ❤ Evidently my no contact for almost 30 years has affected them quite a bit, as I recently found out. The fall out from our "night of infamy," their words, which was our leaving and never going back, still bothers them. It is discussed in round table conversations quiet regularly. I find that highly amusing. The hope of a familial reunion after all this time, will never be realized. Yet they still hope, to no avail. GOSOd once again after the obigitory funeral. No contact once again. Discussions will I'm sure commence, as always.

I've been identified as an empath. But I'd like this to happen - permanently for the narc. Sadly - narcs cannot feel suffering proportionate to the harm they cause because they feel no remorse. Unless like Angel/Spike off of Buffy the narc is cursed with a conscience, they will never comprehend the damage they cause. I hope one day we get the technology to make this happen through science. Don't ask he how. To summise, they cannot suffer. They'll always pass the buck and blame others when they get their just desserts (if they ever actually get them).

H.G. after all his intelligence, he is still but if the dark enemy. If course he'd/ they'd, all rather us take the abuse and go quietly into the dark.

Correct some people need to GOSO and block access to their lives, if that is your reality. It's not a managable dynamic for some and definitely discuss with a therapist, or private confidents who are not new friendships.

Does withholding sex (for personal well-being) make a narc suffer?
@ironDsteele25 күн бұрын
Not nearly as much as they will make you suffer for threatening their control. You will suffer severe adverse consequences. GOSO.

No, they will just find it elsewhere. If you are around one, get out and stay out! And keep watching H.G.´s videos.

@TruthSeekingElf Unusual situation! No driver's license due to macular degeneration. Non-issue as he passed unexpectedly from brain cancer. Did not bring closure or peace for me😢
