Cycling and coffee are almost inseparable. We visit the home of our very own GCN Coffee, Colonna, to sample some new coffees and learn some top tips for making the perfect cuppa, every time.

89% of you, the GCN audience, drink at least one cup of coffee per week. Which is surprisingly low given that out of this sample group, 100% of people drink at least one cup of coffee every single day.
True. It’s safe to say that it’s is a big thing for most cyclists, which is why we were so excited to start selling our own GCN coffee, which is roasted in this building right behind us. Trouble is, as it’s a single origin coffee, there is only a limited supply of the original harvest from that particular farm, so we need to choose another one!
Yes! And while we’re here, we thought we’d better get some practical advice on how you actually make the perfect cup of coffee.
If you enjoyed this video, make sure to give it a thumbs up and share it with your friends. 👍

I asked the same question years ago to the person/roaster I buy my Ethiopian Yrgacheffe coffee to. He said: "that basic spring water, no minerals - don't go for fancy water, the one with the least minerals at your supermarket is the right one." (the bloke in the video, though, seemed to suggest it's just a matter of taste, as long as it isn't hard water)
