Great video mate. I've never tried using Urfe rigs before, but will do now. I've been using Bagnall Bar rigs for a few years with great success and Urfe rigs seem a natural progression.

Yes mate, it's perfect for movement, as mentioned, it's bot great for distance but brilliant for movement

Hi Wayne. Great, informative video and I’m going to give it a go. Can you see an issue if I used crimps and beads instead of knots? It’s not about weakening the rig it’s just that I find crimps easier to use. Please keep up the good work mate, I love it. 👍🏻

Great video. I use 4 way beads on my flowing traces on a lot of my boat rigs using knots to hold my second snood in position and I've had very very few problems with the trace breaking. As you say we all have our own way of doing things. Its just a case of watching and if necessary adapt it to your own style of fishing. We should all be willing to learn, even those of us who are in our later years.

Very informative Wayne,and I like the idea of doing different tutorials. I’ve tried the URFE before, but it was bad enough trying to cast it with a 6 ft trace, I dread to think what a 12ft one would be like 🤦‍♂️🎣🐟

The only advice I can give you is that fluro is memory free, so it doesn't or shouldn't get tangled, mate. Its up to you what you use.

@@TheShoreHunter Thanks Wayne, at the time of asking I didn't know you were using fluro. Now I've seen you do on a separate video. A recent boat trip and everyone else on the boat outfished my friend and I by 4/5 fish to our 1, the difference, they were using fluro. I won't be using mono anymore.

Interesting to see the behind the scenes type of thing. Although you mentioned what you would use for the individual species it would be useful to know how you adapt rigs for the state of the tide.

As the species to be fair, I wouldn't use this rig in a ripping tide or rough weather. It could get messy. Thanks for the comment

Finally, got on the bandwagon and tied one of these rigs. Lesson learned, some memory free lines are way thicker than others. No way was 40lb Amnesia going to work. Stepped down to 25lb version. It looks OK. Any advice or concerns Wayne? Many thanks.

Clear explanation, my only point to raise, the reflection of the windows in your glasses was very distracting, not enough to stop me watching though, done the same by not checking and turning up to find what looks like the whole of Chesil full of anglers.
