Sorry Wayne, last comment should have been for CJ in Costa Rica ! Thoroughly enjoyed your flounder session. You know it's cold when your butt ring gets iced up !
@perrynio2 жыл бұрын
You looked like a pair of Eskimos so that seal probably thought you were out after him hence his derisory antics. Very entertaining and informative - especially that it seems to be colder in Poole than Norway. No Trigger fish that session.

Finally some realistic fishing on youtube, reminds me of fishing with my mates, always trying new stuff, breaking stuff and working through bad luck especially fishing for seabass but having a good time and celebrating every fish that we land. Keep it up lads, greetings from the Netherlands (Zeeland)!

Great video as usual Wayne. My best is 3LB 7oz, at jerrys point at 2 am one Christmas day. Keen ehhh? I could not identify either of your marks today, except I thought you might be over at baiter, but too much traffic. Anyway, I give up! Take care, and I am still watching for the Chesil vid you promised.

I live like a 2 minute walk from the harbour and theirs a big pier a smaller pier and a kind of estuary beside the smaller pier where the river runs through at lowtide but when the tide is on the rise or ebb its a perfect bottle neck where the fish have to pass, I've caught plenty there and the one fish I've never landed is a flatfish and I've seen em following baits and even jelly worms right to the surface, I've used every technique and still yet to land one. I'll get one at some point 👉.
@adambennett21612 жыл бұрын
Did well there guys was a competition the other week on the boats in harbour 23 people fishing not one flounder caught. And I was thinking to myself if you don’t catch an eel on that last mark I’d be shocked with that you reeled one in 😂 keep up the good videos 👌🏻
@TheShoreHunter2 жыл бұрын
Its been hard mate, they feel like flounders the little gits. I've had more since.

Awsome to hear that there are a few about they sure have taken a decline in the harbour over the years Il have to give them a go soon before they slip away again

That's a cracking flounder, our local 3 Rivers Flounder Comp (Tamar, Plym, Yealm) took place on Sunday and the winning fish was about 2lb 12oz. Flounder seem to leave the area whenever I turn up though, and haven't had one for a looong time. The Banzai Mullet rod is lovely, I just got one a couple of weeks ago but haven't been out to use it yet.

Is there salmon & sea trout in the area, if there is then good chance poachers with nets are cleaning the flounder out, they did it in Ireland, ruined rivers for years. Just a possibility, great video as usual Wayne 🎣🎣🎣

It's sad but over the years the flounders have been hammered Keith. Its a shame hey

Anyone know what the best knot 🪢 is to attach a leader to your main line , I've used a uni knot but I always get a clunk clunk clunk as the knot passes through the eyes on the rod whe casting, I'm using 15lb braid mainline onto a nylon 30lb leader. Anyway advice would be welcome 😊
@robbieallan6522 Жыл бұрын
Yo shore hunter!! I'm asking you a question 🤔 lol what knott do you use to attach your mainline to your shock leader?? I always have problems with my uni knott no matter how well I tie it it always goes "clunk clunk clunk!" As it passes through the eyes on my rod and I don't want to chip the porcelain eyes so what can you recommend? A bit of glue or is there any kind of thing that I could put over the leader to mainline knott??
