Just bought the whole Kit for this, placed order 14/9/2020, arrived 18/9/2020 and so many on different groups I belong to on Facebook have complained about Aus Post during Covid, and waiting times for items bought on line from anywhere, I have absolutely no complaints at all. A lovely hand written Thank You note, Quality Products and Service, Thank you Pauline. Going to a retreat in a couple weeks, can't wait, think this is my project for retreat, we have Wi Fi too. :) Also bought you QAYG book, already have your Owl pattern, purchased Kit somewhere else so will really utilise your book to make that quilt. Loving seeing all your new products and videos, thank you so much for your talent and time.

You demonstrate with your own cut strips of batting and your strips are shy of 3". You also show a pre cut roll of batting strip but I can't find any precut at a 3" width, only 2.25". Do you know if pre cut strip rolls exist in other widths? Thanks!
@PQWQuilting3 жыл бұрын
Hi PKF, you can cut your own batting strips or you can use the pre cut 2.25" or 2.50" strips as it does not make any difference if the batting is narrower then the fabric . you will need to centre the batting onto the fabric strip. You will get the same result as if the batting was the same width as the fabric. Have fun creating your rug.

Бережная стирка в обычной стиральной машине должна быть приемлемой, или просто ручная стирка в воде, которая не слишком горячая, чтобы в нее можно было засовывать руки.

Replying to previous comment: If you make the fabric 2” wide, then fold over 1/4” on each side, you have 1.5” of exposed fusible batting which will stick to the ironing board.
@PQWQuilting4 жыл бұрын
Than you for your comment. The Hobbs Fusible batting does not stick to the iron or ironing surface. there is also no bulk . I love using this batting as it gives me a perfect finish to my rugs and this is why I recommend it over other batting's.

Are these pattern available in the USA?
@PQWQuilting4 жыл бұрын
Hi Lucy... many of our products are available in the USA, distributed through Checkers, however, they don't tell us which stores are stocking our products so we can't direct you to a specific store. We are in the process of expanding our range into more areas of the US. You can of course buy directly from our on-line store, and we ship to the US. www.pqw.com.au

seams like a lot of wasted fabric. why not make it 2' fabric, fold over 1/4" than fuse it to the backng?
@PQWQuilting4 жыл бұрын
Laura Thank you for your comment , I really appreciate any feedback. I cut the strips wider as it makes the rug lay better and there is no puckering like I was getting when I cut the strips narrower. I like to have the extra folding to the back. Also I find it a great way to get a lot of very old fabric that I don't like anymore out of my stash. I would love to see your rug when you get one made with the smaller turn back. Have fun creating it is all so enjoyable.

3" strips is not a jelly roll, so not really a jelly roll rug. 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️

🤨 Do you make it a habit to vocalize your thoughts without asking yourself first if it is neccessary? Sewing is about adaptability, not strictly following the rules. We'd all be wearing shapeless tunics if people didn't alter the specifications of a project.
