Honestly I'm surprised how underused the sextuple beacon is. It's so useful in my worlds. With max gear, it makes you almost unkillable while you're in the radius.

I wish beacons had a greater range by itself. Maybe up to 6 chunks? The minimum rendering distance so that it doesn't stop working because the beacon's chunk is no longer loading?

Tip: You do not need to make an iron farm because you can use emerald blocks to make the beacon because in the endgame most players would have made a trading hall

Here's some useful advice, you're probably better off not creating the same wither skeleton farm that Luke did. It's technically optimal but the amount of spawnproofing is asinine. Instead, consider creating a platform wither farm inside of a soul valley or warped forest. You create a platform of netherbrick inside of the bounding perimeter of a fortress. It involves the use of an iron golem to lure wither skeletons through a portal to the overworld, which then get pushed through another portal to a kill chamber high above the nether's bedrock roof. it works very well, only occasionally a blaze comes through, and is a LOT LESS painful as it requires little to no spawn proofing, and doesn't require wither roses. It does need turtle eggs though.

@@IHaveBeenDoingTaxFraud a singular iron golem in the middle. turtle eggs aren't mandatory but they despawn the zombie piglins so you're left with only withers and a few blazes

A question about the beacons, surely it can't be a 100x square as it's centered on the single block. If it extends 50 blocks in each direction that makes it 101 including the beacon it self? could we have some clarification on that.

A beacon (single), covers 101x101 blocks (square). A sextuple beacon covers 103x104. In order to make these beacon arrays cover area (with minimal overlap) and have all powers at all times. You can't do what he does, you'll have gaps of some powers. When he makes his centered 2x2 square of multiple colors, have the inner most corner beacon (of the sextuple beacon) cover the diagonal AWAY from your beacon and 1 more block in the direction your 2x3 beacon is facing. If you then follow his steps of powering them up, it's fine. I messed up and had gaps

How would you do it if your base has an uneven center, like a single block like the emerald tower? Is there a way to get perfect coverage or will it always be a couple blocks off?

You can just pick any 4 blocks in the base to center it on and as long as the rest of the base is in the 200x200 zone you’ll be fine.

In bedrock a maxed out beacon has weird corners, its not a square. On one beacon the corner is 6x14 that doesnt have any coverage and 7x15 with partial to no coverage. So with 4 that would leave a 14 by 30 right in the middle with little to no coverage. Should i slap another beacon in the middle or move the existing ones inward and lose the coverage on the outside?

Just a helpful tip, you can copy your real world and go into creative on the copy then draw the lines and mark beacons and have the actual coordinates for your beacons and then just screenshot/write the coordinates down. I know it has to be a pain in the ass to do all this in survival

You should make the grid 99x99 so that the beacon is exactly centred.

I am using bedrock (to ease play with someone using a PS4). I centered the beacon coverage on a 4x4 center. Have a beacon array cover the far corner of the 4x4 center. And do that will all 4 beacons. Should be 96 blocks between the beacons. Update the power boosts identical in each beacon and you wont have any gaps in coverage. You will also have a square overal coverage this way! I drew it out and have not done this yet. But using 100 blocks between beacons will give you gaps. The beacon arrays need to overlap

Here is a very, VERY important tip. Make sure that when expanding your singular beacon into a sextuple beacon (while it’s in a four squares format like this), to expand it outward. Don’t expand it towards any of your other beacons, but rather towards the outer corner

Under the end island portal. You'll have to look up details but you can trap the wither in the bedrock and it will sufficate and it can't hurt you.
