Hey Duff Budes, (Brief explanation of where I'm at, I'm 6', 184lb - looking to drop body fat and maintain the muscle mass I currently have) Prior to when I go to the gym I tend to write out a programme for myself to keep track of sets/reps/weights etc, and I use your workout videos and other's to help me do so. Now, let's say I'm writing myself a back programme for the week, (I'm currently working on a 4 day split - Legs, Chest&Back, Shoulders, Arms) I do SOME of the same exercises, but switch or add a few NEW isolation exercises or perhaps switch a compound movement such as a deadlift to another compound movement, bent over barbell row for example. I do this every week to continually mix things up a little bit. Well recently I've stumbled across a few articles explaining that 'Changing your workout routine regularly KILLS gains'. I've only been 'properly' dieting and training for the past 2-3 months and have definitely lost a good amount of body fat as well as made muscle gains. So my question to you is, should I be writing out the SAME programme per week per muscle group? And will this change the results I make in anyway? Thank you as always for your time, Sam

I wish I went to trade school. I've wanted to learn to weld and just build shit forever, but now I'm too far in to transfer to a trade school. Building things would be an awesome job.

***** I agree. Believe me, I do. In fact, I put that thinking into practice when it comes to most things. But physical skills are hard to acquire without someone there correcting you. I wouldn't even know where to start with welding. Are there any prereqs?

MURDR63 I started welding at age 8 or 9 with my dad. It's pretty easy to pick up by yourself. I think a good stick welder is really hard to screw up with. Don't set it too high or leave it in one place for too long and you'll be fine. You could look into a day class or something at a local community college or trade school. Or find a friend to teach you. You could also put an ad on craigslist looking for someone to teach you.

MURDR63 best bet community college or school that specializes in it. You can basically write your own paycheck in welding if you're willing to move around from time to time. Seriously just do a little research even just gokgle it and you'll see you have LOTS of options. If you love it go for it. Don't let excuses get in the way!
