I am entering my second year of flower farming and there is so much good information out there but not nearly enough on marketing and efficiency, and that is exactly what I needed to hear. I would love to hear how you succession sow (my other downfall). I've subscribed, so now I have the fun job of watching everything you have! (I also home schooled by nine kids but they are all adults now.) Blessings, from Vancouver Island.

Thank you so much for making these videos, as a new farmer I very much appreciate the effort you put into sharing your knowledge. Have you ever run out of water in any of the buckets from extremely thirsty stems? I live off farm and am wondering about cutting and storing overnight. So far I've been using a cooler and having an awful time with it losing a lot of precious stems. Looking into making a flower cottage such as yours!

the time vs. profit you keep mentioning is a sad reminder for me! I've been selling 5-focal-stem $5 bouquets (mainly dahlias, roses and lilies) for 5 years (because people seem too cheap to find more money even when I tried selling at $10) and they seem SO underpriced now. Often people just give spare change, too, and don't even pay $5! Any advice? I'm in British Columbia. Thanks.

Hmm that’s tricky. I’d say they’re not your customers and you need to find where the people with more discretionary income are shopping and how to reach them. Salons, cafes, wineries etc
