Hy There,
Who ever got a lathe knows good that there's never enough tool holders for quick change tool post.
I make them out of hard (7075) aluminium which is great for machining, they are strong just enough for a mini lathe.
and can't become magnetic. for the end i make anodise protection which process will show in some of next video.
I can't even imagine anymore to work without QCTP, so if you got a lathe without it, quickly go here and buy one for yourself
because this add on is worth a gold, really.

Wow those holders looks amazing! 👏👏 The anodizing finish was the cherry on top, I will be waiting what's coming next about that 👍

Great work. I did a similar retro for my schools 4 southbend 9"lathes, and I loved the process and results. I did just about everything on our CNC router, so I didn't get the pure hands on experience that you had. I also love that you anodized your holders after, wish I though of that instead of just showy painting them!

Very nice indeed; the colour could make it easier to find a particular tool on the rack.

Yep then i also make 3d printed holders for them, so i can hook them on side of closet next to a lathe.

I love your chamfering method :) What milling machine is this? If you clamp several parts in a vice, it is good practice to put some aluminium rod or welding rod between movable jaw and parts.

True, or some other soft material but they were quite equal size so hole every one. Mill is chinesse, can buy from many differend brand type bf, bl, 20,25,30... Check bernardo,at for example or optimum, holzmann...

Really nice work! There's something very satisfying about small production runs like this. BTW, any chance you could skip the music--or at least _that_ music--in your next video?
@TinC33
@TinC33 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, what you mean by "that" music? I had lot of clips so really didn't know how to edit the video, do a fulltime comment and all the machine voices, without any comment, just a fast forward... At tbe end i make somekind of mix, also with music cover a bit my bad english.

@@TinC33 Well, I was referring to the heavy-metal guitar rock for most of the video. I did like the music you used during the anodizing scenes, but it really doesn't matter. I can just lower the volume (but then if you say something I can't hear it). I've subscribed, but it's your channel and you can have whatever music you like. Cheers!

@@tcarney57 ok, i like every tipe of music except balkan, most of time listen the radio but if i need to choose i choose electronic, don't know but i think this kind (metal /rock) go great together with machining / fast motion. I know it's my channel but always like to hear opinion like yours. Heave a great day, i'm going to sleep now after night shift.
