Will anodizing aluminum cause any decreases in aluminum mass? Like if I have a precisely 1.5cm aluminum screw, will the acid eat away at the metal and cause the screw to be smaller? Thank you

@@tillmerit8431 it can etche a bit of materiall yes but not so much, like m3 thread will still be usable but the nut heave a bit more backlash on it, it become noticable when we make the process wrong, like too much current lead to higher gemperature of solution, more material etched...

why everyone is replacing the original bms, looking for ways to reset the programming, installing replacements so that the original bms enters the data re-writing mode on new cells, the solution is so close that no one notices it

Nice analysis and review of the lasers, Tine. Can you help me? How many lenses are there on that A40640 ring, when you open it for cleaning? Let me explain: I opened mine to clean, but the metal ring and lens assembly fell onto the workshop floor. After looking under the equipment, I found it, cleaned it and put it back in the module, but there was only one lens on the ring (which I thought was normal). I later learned that some laser modules use more than one lens. I don't know if this is the case with the A40640, as I couldn't find it on the manufacturer's website or looking online. Can you tell me how many lenses came in yours? Thanks.

I have TWO NEJE 3 Max v2 machines! I'd love to get a max 4 e-80! I bought my first one out the door for $491.00. I loved it. Then NEJE came out with the Max 4, and put the max 3 v2 on sale, And I just couldn't pass it up, out the door for $269. It's in the closet still, haven't even put it together yet. NEJE makes a great laser, to be honest, I shopped around a LOT! The two year warranty sold me. I got it last December, and it has run most of the time I've had it, still going. I truly figured I'd have worn it out by now!

Interested to know if the remote kept on working. Generally the best glue for silicone items is silicone adhesive. I've repaired many remotes over the last 7 years using the pad kit bought from Aliexpress and silicone is the one adhesive that lasts. CA tends to dry hard and is therefore not good on silicone. It provides an initial bond but then flakes off.

If you carefully drill a tiny hole in the end cap (1-1.5MM), compressed air will pop the cap out. You must support the rubber seal at the tip of the brush while you do this. Then, release the two plastic clips inside the base and the mechanism will come out. When finished, a small bad of silicone or other glue will seal the hole when you are finished.

Hi, I was just about to buy this laser via Aliexpress but then watched your video. You now have me scared and confused when you say it cannot engrave softwood very well because its too powerful?? Surely it can modulate the power down? I know there are settings like 50% power etc, why would this not be enough to get a good engraving? I mainly want to us this to engrave cedar wooden items that I make. Id also like to be able to cut a bit of 18mm cedar but that is not as important. From what you said I wont get good engravings on cedar with this. Its western red cedar, very light and soft. Can you explain a bit more how this is a problem and why turning the power down wont fix it?
@TinC33
@TinC33 2 ай бұрын
It can engrave if you lower down the speed and power, otherwise it make too deep and bright engrave, because it cut in deep instead of burn the surface due to its power, i alwqys use lower power modul for engraving because it make better deep black engrave. Extra modul low power is about 30$ and deffinitely worth a buy so you got covered every job.

@@TinC33 So are you saying for $30 I can buy a low powered laser "head" or module to replace the 20w laser on the Max 4? That sounds like a great idea, is it a Neje laser? Do you have a link to the module? Is it plug and play? Why not just do the engraving at a lower power? If I run the 20w laser at 25% why would it be any different to a 5w laser? Thanks so much for the info :)
@TinC33
@TinC33 2 ай бұрын
@@MrChargin depend on what type of neje 4 you take, if you take neje e80 it work on 24v (only E80 work on 24v) so you need to buy also 12v power supply for all other moduls, look on neje store or cjeck the links here in video description. I always advise to take (if your budget allow) neje4 with E80modul(wich is simply a beast for cutting + extra modul 3,5w or 20w is still good for engraving + in that case 12v 5a power supply, so you got everything you need

Dont talk i need to bring them in middle floore of my house by narroy stairs, after i remove back shield it become mach smaller and eqsier to carry arround, i also screw them on a piece of wood by long line, than on that wood screw two piece of wood front and rear parpendicular, so i had 2 handle on front and 2 handles rear, so 4 people easily carry them up on stairs.

Thanks, and yes i am still satisfied with a lathe, werry happy specially when i work on steel because its so robust it can make a big steel chips, and making any thread is so satisfied due to leadscrew transmission wich cover all the pitches... Only weak point so far is seals, oil leak out of lathe on alnpst every axel(for transmission) and every hole even blind cup, so i take out the oil, and replace the o-rings, some parts i turn a bit to get in bigger o ring, and use a liquid seal to reseal the cups, the lathe is now dry for more than half a year before that mod every day few drops of oil was on the pan, i really dont understant such a good lathe, good brand but then they use shitty cheap o-rings to seal, it was visibly by naked eye how shitty o-rings was wich was even not round, had exess from molding... There is some dirty work, not simpliest job but i coudnt wach my new lathe was oily every day. I had many more improve in mind but waiting to realise. Also buy new qctp 250-111 wich is my favorite, i try with 250-222 but it was way too big, original one was shitty, so don't buy them, check for 250-111 on ebay.
