I've used IT Runner TMR mixer in the past and i think the best ratio for it is 2 hay, 1 silage 1 straw, and then you can drop it and set to run until it stops or cows are full. Nice setup for me on farms i've run in the past.

I have never used that mixer sounds great though haha i may have to give it a try

Hi Farmer Cop It's good to do these little how to do it videos thank you very much I cannot remember if we started doing TMR in 11 or 13 but all I do remember it was a nightmare for me never getting the right ratios as each game has come out it did get better and easier When 17 came out I think it was the best time for to TMR because someone brought out a mod and it just fit on the back of your tractor and it held exactly 12,000L which was good you put in 1 bail of each in no measuring
@FarmerCop4 жыл бұрын
There is mod in 19 that does that as well! Its the mixer i use in NML and sandy bay haha it is fantastic because like you said, 12000 liters, 1 of each bale :)

Hey man Really enjoyed this tutorial, something new to try on fs. Question though is tmr something you could sell and make good profit?
@FarmerCop4 жыл бұрын
Thank you hlad you enjoyed it!! It is possible to make it and sell for a profit, some maps will have sell points that pay okay for it. You probably wont get rich doing it though. Might be a modded sell point out there that pays more for it. In my experience you make more to just use grass to make silage and sell silage :)

Hey just wanted to say I love your videos and I’m not sure if you mentioned this in the video or not, but I messed up my first batch of TMR and when I went to feed it to my cows, it only took the hay and silage out and left the straw. I was able to use some of it for the bedding for the cows and horses, then was able to get the mix ratio right.

i tried to play with giant's mod the pellet factory which is a warehouse with crane with palletizing machine i play, keep, leave and when i enter again the factory disappears and the terrain can't do anything will you be able to help thank you
@Monkey_Snot3 жыл бұрын
Where I'm from, we don't use straw at all as feed, it's used as bedding only, you shouldn't feed straw to cattle at all, and I'm not sure where Giants got that idea from, maybe in the UK they use it, but it should never be fed to cattle. It will bind up your cows, and it has no nutritional value at all.
@Bendigo13 жыл бұрын
Some places use straw as filler, just like in the game. Feeding straw alone to cows is bad yes, chopping straw and mixing it in with hay is like making hamburgers with oatmeal to make them bigger without using as much meat.

Greetings Sir, Thanks for making this video it was super helpful. This is Sujay from India, I am setting up my own Cattle Feed manufacturing unit here in India. When i was researching about government aids in this process of establishing a cattle feed manufacturing unit i found out that there were no Subsidies for cattle feed manufacturing units but there is a 50% subsidy for TMR manufacturing unit. In my research i saw that along with straw, hay and silage TMR also consisted of corn, soybean, molasses, vitamins etc which are nothing but the ingredients used in manufacturing Cattle Feed (Pellets/Smash feed) so can a TMR be made with the combination of straw + hay + silage + Cattle Feed? If so it may provide a window to be eligible to avail subsidy for the entire manufacturing unit and it would provide a huge advantage to sustain in the competitive market. Thanks and Regards!

Hi FC, I would like to know how the Straw Harvest Addon changes this, I mean can you use the pellets to Make tmr?
@FarmerCop4 жыл бұрын
Chuck I m not sure, my understanding is you cannot make silage from the hay pellets as they work as a more compacted fill type for the animal pens so they would not be fermentable
@kenraaliPancho4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the response, yea when you put it like that it makes sense for realism 👍

ho do I get the forage out of my mixer when its full? it will not let me unload anywhere
@FarmerCop3 жыл бұрын
You have to own the land, then you can either unload it onto the ground or unload it into a food trough or into a silo designed to hold it
@Billbar153 жыл бұрын

Only 4 minutes in, and I’m like nope, too much work. Let’s sell all my 200 cows and sell the pasture. I’ll just do pigs and chickens. Wool from sheep don’t sell very high.
