You need a metal pen or aluminium foil so the electricity from your body transfers to your screen,so conect the foil with the cotton and when you use it make sure you touch the foil😉❤

Late response, but yes, it is. Capacitive screens need the electric charge from your hand to work, so that's why metal is necessary. It's also why the pen works better if you wet the cotton, since water conducts electricity.

Aaron is right also, But if you don't have a metal pen what you can do is get a pencil or a pen and put cotton on top of it and wrap aluminum foil around it and secure it with tape and there you go! A stylus
