Mabuhay RC, ang tagal kong naghahanap ng filipino channel sa youtube na vegan at pinoy style kc lahat ng recipe na nahahanap ko panay banyaga, nahihirapan tuloy ako sa mga rekado. Buti na lang ung isang channel sa youtube binanggit ung astigvegan sabi ko pinoy un at heto na ko, 1 of ur subscriber. Ang hirap maging vegan sa pinas alam mo yan. +rcestudios nakita ko ang channel mo kay vegan cooking with love. Naghahanap kc ako ng carrot soup nakita ko ung simple recipe nya so i made it with my carrot pulp. I'm asthmatic so I really need healthy and live food. Gusto ko rin ng bread rolls or pandesal kaya nung nakita ko channel mo nagppasalamat tlg ako ng malaki. Salamat po ulit.

In america, there are many options for whole grain bread. Can go with sourdough fermented bread altho these can be too high in salt. North china staple food is steamed fermented bread. North India has unfermented flat bread. Can also do your own or buy unfermented sprouted bread cooked at lower temperature and these are usually free of salt. Whole wheat dough can also be cooked as boiled dumplings. Can probably boil whole wheat flour like boiling farina as a cereal. Even simpler is to just boil farro wheat grains or wheat berries like boiling brown rice.

what is the difference between bread flour and all purpose flour? can I just use all purpose flour? also can I use coconut sugar instead of evaporated cane sugar? salamat:)

+Lauren Allison Hi! Bread flour has more gluten and could rise better than all purpose. I don't recommend using all purpose for this recipe. You may use coconut sugar instead of evap cane sugar though it will alter the taste just heads up. Hope that helps!

Instead of using shortening to soften the dough, why not use oatmeal? The cooked oatmeal makes the dough soft, and moist. However, you should make at least 10 percent of it as the cooked oatmeal absorbs water, and your dough will become high hydration dough.

Vegan Bartender Correct! While the name Pandesal means "salted bread", it is actually not salty at all. In fact, it's mildly sweeter than the average bread rolls.

***** I am not really knowledgable on filipino food (with Spain and Mexico I am), but it seems as if there are a bunch of things with Spanish names that are contrary to the original dish or the actual name. Personally I love it, it is almost as if the Filipino people said "Yeah Spain, we might call it X but we are going to do whatever we want." and you guys ended up with deliciously awesome stuff.
