wow! one year vegan and still learning, but I have been juicing and throwing away the pulp and buying expensive veggie burgers well no more! thank you
@azeratsk7 жыл бұрын
Awesome! Glad I could help. I also steam the pulp, dry it, then blend it to make a powder for soup base... I add a few onions/celery/carrot to the steamer to add flavor. I really need to make a video on that cuz it is super easy. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I just made these crazy veggie patties that are in my opinion, to die for. Low-calorie, high-fiber amazing tasting treats. You can bake them up in advance and freeze them. Curried Jugo patties: 1 1/2 cup of vegetable pulp. 1 egg. 1 handful of cut outs. 1 teaspoon of basil. 1 pinch of pink salt. 1/2 teaspoon cumin. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 1 teaspoon curry powder. Onto a greased cooking tin, form into two, 4 to 5 inch patties, about three quarters of an inch thick and in a preheated oven, at 350° and bake for 15 minutes, turn over for another 5 minutes, take out of the oven while hot and served with cool Ranch dressing. Thank you for your video exhalation point they give me some new ideas.

Fantastic idea. I'm going to start juicing every day using my new juicer and freeze the pulp till weekend. I'm going to then make a big batch of patties for the entire week. I'm excited!

A great burgar, however I would NOT cook the burgers twice. I would use the pulp mix it up and make the patties then freez them and cook them when needed. Because it's all veg you don't need to cook th pulp before you make the burgers patties. To cook the ingredients twice, is cooking away the flavour and distroying any nutrients left in the pulp. Meat burgers are not cooked twice. Veggie burgers are safer to eat and easy to cook in less time. Make your veggie burgers and cook it once. Come on its vegetables. 😄😆😅

I did one out of leftover Vedg last night. I whizzed them and added a lot of spices as I cried the. With onions and garlic, then coconut flour (Indian style spices) and then coconut oil. I also made some flattened pancakes out of same mix, and saved the other for doing a lentil soup with additions! Yes, I freeze and have plenty of options with my salads.

Nice video. I make something similar and I love to add some smashed black beans.. BTW don't use garlic that is growing it is bitter. What you can do is plant the garlic (even inside the house if you don't have a garden) it will grow into regular garlic. Thank you...

I just bought my Omega juicer and instantly looked to make homemade veggie burgers so thanks for your video! Maybe it's a US thing (a like for oven cooking meals on oven-ready pans), but I don't understand the need for an oven cooking if you make not too fat paties. I have a nice oven, but I'm a bit distraction-prone and the oven step adds time, electricity consumption and a bit more hassle. Would a low oil 5 min. low heat sauteeing in a good pan achieve good results too, in your view? Thanks again Ariel and to anyone who will kindly answer this too :-). I have pulp from chards, celery, and carrots mainly, will try just sauteeing and will post the results :-)

This looks really amazing. Do you know if it is freezer-friendly? I would like to freeze a little bit of the "dough" otherwise it would be too much. Thanks!
@azeratsk9 жыл бұрын
Okashi Nederland Yes, it is freezer friendly.....because it can make a lot. Some water may separate after thawed, but add a bit more binder, such as oats or flax or flour of your choice, and you are ready to go. You can also just freeze them in individual patties and pop them in your oven frozen, on a properly oiled/parchment pan, or cook them and freeze them cooked.

I used to juice a lot and always felt guilty everytime I threw out the pulp knowing it would be good for something. I vegan 4 months ago and trying different veggie burger recipes. This one seems like it would be more burger texture like because of the pulp

What's the ratio of each vegetable - How many cups of each vegetable
@azeratsk10 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry, but I don't really measure. I just add veggies to my food processor, then add binders until it is a good consistency. I would say 3 cups or so juice pulp, 1-2 cups other veggies (onions, mushrooms, broccoli, beans), some binder (1/2 cup flax, 1/2 cup flour (I like chickpea, gluten flour, and/or oats), tomato paste or sundried tomatoes) and flavor (I like nutritional yeast, garlic, cumin, ital. season, mustard, siracha sauce, and soy sauce or miso for salt) The great thing about veggie burgers is you can TASTE is while mixing. It depends on the size of your food processor as well. I was going to make an updated version of this video cuz ppl complained that I was dull and boring. Thanks for watching and let me know if that helps!
@cookieflorida10 жыл бұрын

@azeratsk6 жыл бұрын
Hello, how about start with one mile? Walk, run, alternate... and then the next day try a little further, like 1.2 miles. Join a gym. start lifting. find a workout partner or a personal trainer. change your diet....eat a whole foods plant based diet and you will soon have so much energy you will want to exercise. drink more water. get the addictive substances out of your life: processed junk food, soda, sweetners, alcohol, caffeine. Think of yourself differently. Think of yourself as someone who exercises and takes care of themselves. you can do it!
