HOW TO MAKE VINTAGE PAPER DOLLS WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE ANY is a video for those who want an alternative to Tim Holtz vintage people.
Whether it is a economic issure or preference, not everyone wants to use premade paper dolls/vintage figures. I am showing you alternatives that are more econoical and a little different.
The first option is old photographs. You can get boxes or albums of old photos very reasonabley from estate sales, thrift stores and antique stores. You can cut the photos, you can add trims & lace and you can add color via markers or paper .
The second option is the people on old vintage patterns. These can be cut out, you can add paper and marker color to change the appearance. Old patterns are available at estate sales, thrift stores and antique malls normally for .50.
The last option is to use people images from the internet BUT make sure they are copyright free if you are going to SALE them. If they are being used in a personal work or a work you are giving away, than that is ok.
Another idea, make a copy of personal family photos but 1. make sure they are old and if the person is still alive, you get their permission and 2. always make a copy so you still have the original.
