another thing you can do to make your samples sound like real songs that were on vinyl, cut out some of the lows on the master then render it and boost the lows. the reason I say this is because that’s exactly what vinyl and turntables do. edit: I forgot to add, if you pan some things heavy left and other things heavy right, it can also make it sound more like a soul song.

I make a lot of drum breaks by taking my drum group and running it through a delay and transient shaper using automation. I just bounce that live performance to another track after it's actually dope especially if you have multiple channels and a midi controller with faders or dials
