I will also like to add that if you need to make the waist elastic, it is advisable to add at least 3inches extra to the waist measurement and also add extra inches to the length and crotch because you will need to fold in the part for the elastic

Thanks much, this is lovely 😍👏👏👏👏. And very new to me. Kudos. But my concern is the difference in the front and back crotch, will the side seam still be the same? Thanks.
@Tailor_Morfrik2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching, the crotch for the front is usually smaller than the back and no seam allowance is added to the front. All seam allowance is added to the back (at least 2 inches) And when sewing a pant you attach the two pieces of the front together at the crotch and also do same for the back (attach the two back pieces together at the crotch) then attach back and front together at the sides. I hope this helps. Please don’t hesitate to ask more questions if you have

@@Tailor_Morfrik Thanks for the explanation 👍, you are a darling. I really appreciate you, please one more question, with the 1inche sewing allowance, does it mean you sew with half inch all around the side seam and inseam? Thanks much. 😊🥰😍🤩.
@Tailor_Morfrik2 жыл бұрын
@@susanaina5272 I apologise for the late reply, I just saw this. Yes when sewing the pant you you will have to divide the seam allowance you added by two ( for example, if you added one inch, you will hold in half an inch)

Please I don't understand your measurements outside and on the line. I am confused
@Tailor_Morfrik2 жыл бұрын
Before taking any measurements, you will have to mark out 1 inch like I showed in the video, then take all your round measurements ( waist, round knee and trouser mouth / leg opening) from the 1 inch line. The only measurement taken outside the line( that is from the tip of the pattern paper) is the Hip measurement. I hope this helps, please don’t hesitate to ask more questions if you have. thanks for watching 👍
