I was hoping to find this. I searched and searched before. These blinds remind me of the old residences in the Philippines. They were made quite similar to yours, and simply. These were the actual windows in those old houses. I think the wood was either monkey pod or Philippine mahogany. Ok... The difference is they used a metal rod through staples in the center of each slat, and this rod moved the slats open and closed.

The video was OK, but it was the primitive work space. Did OK though. I watched this last night and today I picked up the raw (salvage) materials and I'm going to make this. It goes over the outside workbench to keep the desert sun off me.
