@@michaelalvarado8415 Normally modern yoyo's don't come up immediately when thrown, which is one thing that gives yoyo's enough wiggle room to do more complicated tricks. 1A, 3A, and 5A yoyoing take full advantage of the sleeper trick by using it to allow the yoyo to sit on the string and let the yoyo spin for longer.

If you haven’t, then there’s a part of the inside of the yo-yo, called the bearing, that moves kind of independently from the body of the yo-yo, allowing the yo-yo to spin. The string rests on that bearing so that when the yo-yo is spinning at the bottom of the string, the string doesn’t immediately jerk the yo-yo back up into the hand. This is called “sleeping.” If you were to simply glue the string to the bearing like was shown in the video, the bearing no longer moves independently from the body of the fidget spinner because the bearing is now locked in place, so the yo-yo can’t sleep. What was shown in this video wouldn’t be functional as a yo-yo or a fidget spinner anymore because of that glue.
